Michael J. Levine co-founded the Mills and Levine law firm in 1998 before taking the firm over in 2015, creating the Levine Law Group. He concentrates his practice in the areas of personal injury, workers’ compensation, nursing home neglect and complex litigation.
Michael was born in Roanoke, Virginia. After graduating from high school, he served in the United States Navy. After his military service he attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he received a degree in Political Science. He received his Doctor in Jurisprudence from Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson, Mississippi, and was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar in 1997 and the South Carolina State Bar in 2014.
Michael is married to his beautiful wife Misty and has two sons, Michael II and Max. He is also a licensed pilot and an avid cyclist.
Thomas W. Gooden joined the firm in 2009 and was admitted to the North Carolina Bar shortly thereafter. His primary focus is Social Security Disability. Thomas was born in Charlotte and graduated from Wake Forest University with a degree in Business.
After earning his law degree from Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware, he returned to North Carolina and now practices law in the same area where he spent his childhood. He also stays very active in his community and church, where he teaches Sunday School classes with his wife Margaret.
Cathy A. Williams joined the firm in 2017 and concentrates her practice on personal injury, complex litigation, workers’ compensation, and appeals. She was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar in 2005; she is also admitted to the Florida State Bar (1996) and the New York State Bar (1997), and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Middle and Western Districts of North Carolina.
Cathy was born in Syracuse, New York and graduated from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Arts in Government/International Relations. After earning her law degree from the Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad School of Law in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Cathy clerked for the Honorable Harry Lee Anstead on the Supreme Court of Florida. Upon leaving the Court, she entered private practice, focusing on commercial litigation and personal injury litigation.
Cathy moved to Cornelius, North Carolina in 2004, where she enjoys traveling, cooking, paddle boarding, and spending time with her family.
